We don’t want to contribute to the 11 million tons of textiles that end up in American landfills every single year due to overproduction, nor do we want to add to the demand for toxic chemical and pesticide use in fabric production, which further pollutes our precious land, air and water. That’s why all of our garments are either made by rescuing overruns of fabric typically sent to landfills by big clothing companies, or with 100-percent certified non-GMO organic cotton.
Since we're essentially using the scraps for all of our cut + sew pieces, we are only able to find so much of any given fabric - typically only enough to make a handful of pieces. It's a win-win. We make clothes without adding to the carbon footprint of fabric production by upcycling waste, and you can feel good about wearing limited edition, hand sewn, high-quality sustainable goods.
